Refund policy

Each item is produced in limited quantities, with some items donating a percentage of the profits to grassroots human rights initiatives. Because every shirt is screen-printed, small variations in print or color may occur. These aren’t defects; they make your tee one of a kind. For customers outside the UK and European Union, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect size selection.

If your order arrives otherwise damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us within 14 days with photos, and we’ll fix it (refund or replacement).

Eligible Returns

We accept returns only in the following cases:

- The item is damaged or defective upon arrival.

- You received the wrong item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

- In the same condition you received it; unworn, unused, and unwashed.

- In its original packaging, with tags attached.

- Accompanied by proof of purchase or order confirmation.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Return Process

To initiate a return, contact hello@hotpeoplecareabout.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photographs where applicable. Items sent back to us without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

Return Shipping Responsibility

If your return is approved due to a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, we will cover the cost of return shipping.

For returns made under the UK or European Union 14-day cooling-off period (change of mind), the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless otherwise agreed.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Exemptions and Non-returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Sale items are final sale for customers outside the United Kingdom and European Union. Gift cards are non-refundable.

United Kingdom & European Union: 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is being shipped to the United Kingdom or European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason and without justification.

You must notify us within 14 days of delivery, and return the item within 14 days of notifying us.

Items must be unworn, unused, with tags attached, and in original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund has been approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@hotpeoplecareabout.com.
